Lindsay Clancy’s attorney begs for a pardon

During a recent appearance on the prominent morning television program Good Morning America, defense attorney Kevin Reddington spoke at length regarding the ongoing legal proceedings surrounding his client, Lindsay Clancy, specifically addressing the recent developments regarding a mistrial in the heavily publicized case. Clancy has formally entered a plea of not guilty to the harrowing and devastating charges levied against her, which accuse her of tragically strangling her three young children—five-year-old Cora, three-year-old Dawson, and her tiny infant son Callan—utilizing ordinary exercise bands within the confines of their family home.

In a desperate attempt to get his client off, Reddington pleaded with President Trump for a pardon. Reddington probably worries he won’t get a jury like that again, since popular opinion is that Lindsay is guilty. Reddington knows that most of Trump’s supporters would find Clancy guilty, so it behooves him to drag this into a political fight, where it’s concerned Trump’s supporters vs. seething purple-haired lunatics and delusional single mothers giving the “heart” sign.

Clansey’s legal representative is genuinely grasping at straws by aggressively begging Donald Trump for a federal pardon; she really hardly qualifies in any way for such a prestigious and extraordinary presidential pardon. First and foremost, as a fundamental matter of legal precedent, don’t you actually have to be formally tried and found guilty in a court of law to receive that specific kind of pardon? Furthermore, isn’t a presidential pardon strictly reserved for a federal crime prosecuted by the United States government, rather than state-level offenses? Or perhaps Reddington is secretly wishing for the exact kind of sweeping, preemptive pardon that Joe Biden famously gifted to Anthony Fauci right as he prepared to leave office.

You are invariably going to find those devoted ladies dressed in pink lingering outside the courtroom doors, joined seamlessly by their digital comrades spreading fervent narratives on TikTok; that fundamental reality simply will not change anytime soon. Those unwavering ladies have passionately pleaded “innocent” on her behalf right from the very start of this ordeal, completely uninfluenced by the unfolding facts or interrupted by the steady voice of reason. Absolutely no amount of overwhelming evidence or testimony will ever successfully dissuade these fiercely ardent supporters; in fact, they stubbornly refuse to even listen to her directly when she openly looks them in the eye and clearly confesses, “I did it.”
